Free Public Lecture By John Beagles And Graham Ramsay

Discussion in Chat

11.30am, Friday 20 March
Federation Hall, Grant Street, Southbank

Based in Glasgow Scotland, Beagles + Ramsay have worked collaboratively since 1996. Their work has been exhibited internationally including the Venice Biennale 2003, PS1 MOMA and The ICA. Two key interweaving currents drive the work of Beagles and Ramsay: the reoccurring use of fictionalised self-portraiture and a critical examination of aspects of contemporary consumer culture. In this talk, Beagles and Ramsay – variously described as ‘enthusiasts’, ‘little fakers’ and ‘inveterate and strategic liars’ – reveal what makes them tick.
