Entries for the 2013 Macquarie Photography Prize opened on 1st September so get your pictures in and be apart of this global photography competition offering $16,000AUD in prize money!
The competition is shaping up to be tougher than ever and in a different approach to last year, the pre-selection process will be gradual. The expert pre-selection panel will produced 5 finalist each month over a 5 month period.
This will result in the 25 finalist for each section to be exhibited. Which ever month an entry is received, if not selected as a finalist in that month, the entry will be eligible for selection as a finalist in each subsequent month.
This means more opportunities for the early entries to have their works judged by the pre-selecion panel. The first 20 finalists will be chosen at the end of October. Entrants can be from any country, of any age and enter as many pictures as they like! However, the photographs must have been taken since 1st July, 2011 and must have been solely the work of the entrant.
