Sometimes you must be destructive to get constructive. This week we attack our work, not with a slash and burn mentality but reveal and rethink existing pieces that will push your textiles in a whole new direction.

Explore: the use of deconstruction as a powerful tool for reimagining textile art.
Learn: a variety of techniques – for unpicking, cutting, intentional damage while still maintaining or revealing the integrity of the newly emerged work.
Develop: the ability to let go of pre-existing ideas around what it means to have a completed work. An understanding of the both the flexible nature of textile work as well as its (and your) limitations.
Inspirations: Christina Hesford, Louise Bourgeois, Shelly Goldsmith.
Feel Free: to bring Works in Progress into our creative space, participate in the workshop, or continue working on your existing project.
