Michele works across many mediums that come together in this feast for the senses. The handwoven textiles, printmaking and sculptural works celebrate the natural world in an intriguing display of colour and texture. The photographic works provide a counterpoint, taking a step sideways into the off-kilter world just under the surface of the everyday.

Jessie’s collection of sculptures – largely created by ‘stuff’ of the crockery kind donated by the local community or discarded treasures found in the dark recesses of local op shops – is indeed somewhat an embarrassment of riches… or possibly a celebration of the latter.

This abundant supply of upcycled china – at times recognisable items and ornaments, culminates into a visual smorgasbord paying tribute to nature, the very thing that our consumerist propensity to ‘stuff’ threatens today.
