FRONT GALLERY : : VISITS by Tyler Arnold & Elena Larkin

A collection of oil and gouache paintings, ‘Visits’ is a celebration of the Victorian (Kulin nations) landscape and a meditation upon our connection to the land as shared tenants or visitors.

Each painting was created outside and represents a particular visit to the natural landscape, many nearby to where Tyler and Elena live in the bush lands of Cottles Bridge. Painting en plein air, the duo craft their pictures through observing the interplay of light and using the paint to record what they see in each unique window of time. ‘Visits’ invites you to step into these windows and engage with the beauty of the earth we share.

BACK GALLERY : : SLEEPING IN THE FOREST by Rachel Derum

These collages honour the connection between all things. The vital force that animates the raven is the same that heats the rock. It rushes through the treetops and it swells inside our chests.
Like the mysterious and creative cycles of nature, collage explores the possibility of an endless reimagining of forms.

Adorned with spears or guided by birds, pulled to the tides or into moonlit woods, I wish to reconnect these figures with the wilderness that surrounds them and to the wild self within. Sitting in silent conversation with the self and the world they know the boundlessness of both.

SIDE GALLERY : : YOU HAVE MANY FACES by Emma Michaelis
My work has always been situated within the tradition of figuration, a drawing practice which
seeks to uncover ways in which the body reflects back experiential encounters within physicality in a tangible and relatable way. In this series I draw on the empathetic body through snap shots of emotion, exploring my personal role as that of a new mother and uncovering the varied experiences of my child encountering a new world. Every day is different, every moment a changing story, these moments captured, offer a view into fundamental elements in the narrative of our daily life.

UPSTAIRS GALLERY : : MUSTARD PICKLE PORTRAITS by Brad Pugsly

Like mustard pickle, generations grew up with these identities but were not always to everyone’s taste. This collection is an eclectic mix of personalities that capture my interest. Painted in miniature form on different medias.
