SPACE 1 : Elysium
India d’Scarlett

Soft, organic, disturbing, and provocative, India d’Scarlett’s photographs emanate a painterly quality and abstraction which is achieved through experimental in camera techniques.
These photographic processes are used to visualise the divine feminine and the rawness of womanhood.

Elysium her latest body of work was created on across country trip through North America. Travelling from the East of Canada all the way to the West, and back through the United States, d’Scarlett spent seven weeks in solitude covering 15,000km and over 175 hours on the road.

Along the way, she discovered other-worldly beauty and experienced the profound diversity of the landscapes and wilderness of these countries. Travelling into the recesses of solitude and nature’s crevices, coming to know herself with deeper clarity. Sleeping in forests, by the ocean, in parking lots and at highway truck stops. Wandering through breathtaking national parks, floating in the Great Lakes, rolling in fields drenched in berries, and curling up in roadside motels. Documenting and capturing fragments of herself through her lens. Chronicling through self-portraits the physical, spiritual and emotional journey that she moved through.

SPACE 2 : Time after Time
Chakrit Leelachupong

After time passerby, from familiar to unseen places, I witnessed, in reality, things. However, in reality, loneliness and an elusive purpose has eroded beauty away from all of these things.
The beauty that I have witnessed may not last an eternity.

SPACE 3 : BLENDS II
Ros Pach , Julie Milton, Amanda Amenta
and Anastasia Kotzapavlidis

Four artists come together to experiment with the process of image making. Through the melding of photographic image making techniques via mobile phones, digital and analogue capturing and processes, the artists aim to create an experience rather than an identifiable image.

Within photography the output of the image is mostly premeditated.
The artists want to make the process of creating the image the emphasis. Colour, form, layering and distortion of perspectives create a concoction of bold unrecognisable subject matter along with glimpses of identifiable things. It is not purely abstraction. What may appear an identifiable image in a sea of purely formal elements, the viewer is presented with an obscure subject matter and an explosion of an experience.
