The City of Monash is a culturally diverse and vibrant community in Melbourne’s south-east suburbs. We are home to a population of just over 200,000 residents, making us one of the most populous municipalities in Victoria.

We recognise that an important part of our community life is the recreation, arts and creative facilities available for us to enjoy and share locally.

Monash is home to a network of libraries across the municipality and Monash Gallery of Art (MGA). MGA is a leading public gallery focused on photography, located in the same beautiful building as the Wheelers Hill Library and surrounded by inviting public parklands.

Council is undertaking a feasibility study to consider improvements for MGA, with funding support from the Victorian State Government through the Community Support Fund.

The feasibility study will consider ways of responding to challenges and opportunities for the MGA and the library, including their ability to deliver public and education programs, and the possibility of becoming an integrated arts and cultural destination.

We want to hear your thoughts on how you engage in arts and cultural activities, and what you value most about visiting cultural facilities.

So please, take 5 minutes to tell us more about you, how you engage in arts and culture and what we can build on together in the future.
