Opening Night: Thursday April 2nd. 2009.

Metaphysics is about the nature of being. It starts with the experience of sense data that is stationary, scales the dizzy heights of applied reason, and finally comes to rest upon a transcendent reality. On the 1st of April – 19th 2009 at Guildford Lane Gallery, Canberra based artist James Rowell will present Dot Painting with Various Dialectical concerns; an exhibition that explores the processes of reality through synthesis.

Drawn toward the use of dialectical dot painting as a form of freedom, Rowell invites one and all to study the processes of Thesis, Antithesis and Synthesis which have risen from the work of Aristotle and Michael Faraday in a survey of painted works.
