In 2006, Kirsty Bruce completed her Bachelor of Fine Art (Visual Art) at Queensland University of Technology and presented two solo exhibitions, one at the Ryan Renshaw Gallery in Brisbane and the other at the Anna Bibby Gallery in Auckland, New Zealand. Kirsty was also part of the Fresh Cut exhibition at the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane.

NBC Capital – Metro Arts Scholarship (2007)
NBC Capital established this annual scholarship alongside Metro Arts to invest in the growth and potential of an earlycareer visual artist. The 12-month scholarship supports the artist to create, promote and exhibit new work, while also
supporting the long term sustainability of their practice. The artist is provided with a studio at Metro Arts, practice development support through Biz Arts MAkers, funds towards the cost of art materials and a three-week public exhibition of the artist’s new body of work.
