Re-Use, Objects of Virtue
Nexus
12th June – 23rd August
Preview: Friday 12th June 6-8pm
Left overs, discarded object or precious vintage items? This exhibition at Nexus Art Café is based on objects that have had a previous life. Here is an exploration and re-interpretation, making new from old.
Re-cycling objects and re-appropriating them can captivate audiences through nostalgia & intrigue. This exhibition hopes to stretch its viewers to see more, for example Debbie-Adele Cooper explores the value of a lost life in her installation, fascinated in the space where absolute importance turns to insignificance in these everyday objects.
Re-Use, Objects of Virtue uses storytelling, re-configuration & movement to look at the possibilities of things that have gone before & come around again.
