This exhibition brings to Melbourne the work of ten of Germany's best contemporary photographers. Curated by Thomas Weski, Presentation/representation covers the work of the generation of German photographers that has followed the now-legendary Kunstakademie Düsseldorf generation of Gursky, Thomas Ruff, Thomas Struth and Candida Höfer.

The exhibition shows that, in the wake of the highly formal serialism of the Düsseldorf generation, new German photography is defined by the diversity of its style and interests.

Curator Thomas Weski was also curator of the survey of Thomas Gursky recently seen at the National Gallery of Victoria.
