suek-artist and nanolab will be conducting a four-day film shooting workshop at The BAck doOR instructed by Richard Tuohy. Each day the participants will be given the opportunity to shoot film using either a Standard 8 camera or a 16mm film camera which will then be processed for editing.

The four day workshop will take the participants through basic camera shooting and advanced camera techniques such as back-winding, multiple exposing, using mattes and filters, re-photographing, and macro filming, as well as post-production editing processes that include film handling, processing, printing, splicing, using projection equipment and digitising film.

The workshop will also take the participants into an exploration of the range of cine film types that are easily available to get hold of in today’s market. No prior film experience is necessary to participate. Nor, while it is desirable, do the participants need their own equipment
