WED 21 NOV 3 solo shows: DIANNE BRIGGS is a local artist trained in Newcastle and located for the last 20 years in one of the creative hubs of Sydney, Newtown. KATSU was born in Hiroshima, Japan. Katsu later graduated from university with a degree in Architecture and participated in art courses and silk screen printing courses.

WED 21 NOV 2 solo shows:
DIANNE BRIGGS is a local artist trained in Newcastle and located for the last 20 years in one of the creative hubs of Sydney, Newtown. She has recently participated in several group shows, earlier in the year winning the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardis Gras art prize held at Tap Gallery and was a finalist in the Gallipoli art prize with a portrait of Georgeina Whelan. Her work contains figurative elements occassionally combined with the dramatic nature of the seascape to produce moody and surrealist pieces. Exhibiting at the same time will be:
KATSU was born in Hiroshima, Japan. Katsu later graduated from university with a degree in Architecture and participated in art courses and silk screen printing courses. He worked in an architectural office before later establishing his own (architectural) company in Osaka. Katsu travelled in many countries to continue his passion for painting. He mixed with many different artists greatly expanding his ideas and technique. Katsu traveled to Australia in 1983, where he joined other artists in painting a mural for the 10th Anniversary of the Sydney Opera House. In 2005 he was employed by the North Sydney Community Centre to organise an art exhibition. Katsu’s painting style has changed over the years from Impressionism to Abstract, of which
