Visual conscious experience, memories and dreams suggest a location for the Mind. The sum and store of our sensory experience, comprehension and creativity seems to inhabit the inner-space of the head. Within this cavity vast and complex abstract notions are explored, associations recognised, and three-dimensional concepts realised, unhindered by gravity or scale, un-constrained by the laws that govern our physical world.
These ceramic sculptures use symbolism and allegorical images painted on the inner space of the head, thereby representing the Minds’ Eye.
