Following a 3 week residency in Albany, WA, Tom Hall will visit Spectrum Project Space for one night only. Hall will implement the resynthesis of found sound recordings from his residency in Albany, regenerating and referencing incidental areas significant to the development of Albany and to the settlement that it is today.

Invited to Western Australia by Albany’s MIX Artist Collective, Hall will implement and facilitate an extensive 3 week sound workshop titled ‘Sonic Seeding’, as part of the Perth International Arts Festival, Great Southern Program. Sonic Seeding will see Hall introduce participants to the basics of how to use sound as a potential medium and subject in an artistic context. An initiative of the MIX Visiting Artists Project, Sonic Seeding is the first and introductory stage of a long-term project aimed at developing skills for local artists to employ sound in creating art works.
