The Australian Centre for Photography is launching its Summer Exhibition Season 2013 with works by Ann Shelton, Robert Besanko, Darragh O’Callaghan and David Sudmalis, René Norwie.

There will be four projects with five artists from Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. Ann Shelton is confronting the historical memory of the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Every month over a 12 month period, Robert Besanko will present a newly digitised version of his Kodalith work from the 1970s and 1980s. Darragh O’Callaghan’s and David Sudmalis’ collaborative media installation explores the physiological response to sound beyond the audible spectrum; and in her first solo exhibition René Norwie is examining the transformation of the body through motherhood.

All works are new commissions devised for the Australian Centre for Photography, collectively curated as a celebration and activation point for critical interaction within current perspectives in photographic practice.
