This exhibition examines her long career through works selected from the NGV’s strong holdings, spanning her early prints of the 1960s, the incorporation of photo-etching and mass-media imagery in the 1970s, and her profound explorations of existentialism, humanism and Australia’s contested histories, in particular her masterpiece, the panoramic drawing TERRA SPIRITUS … with a darker shade of pale (1993–98).
