Finalists

The National Portrait Gallery would like to thank everyone who submitted photographs for the Prize.

The quality of the submissions was exceptional which made it a difficult task for the three judges to reduce the overall pool to the final fifty three portraits for the exhibition. The winning portrait will be announced at the exhibition launch at the National Portrait Gallery on 9 March 2013.

The National Photographic Portrait Prize is an annual event intended to promote the very best in contemporary photographic portraiture by both professional and aspiring Australian photographers. The Gallery is offering a prize of $25,000 for the most outstanding photographic portrait.
