MAKE.PLAY Workshops

During March & April, Object is transforming the Project Space at Object Gallery into a studio to host workshops facilitated by some of Australia’s top design & craft talent. They will be open to the public, and all participants will acquire new skills ready to inject some handmade design into their own lives.

Workshops will feature, Kit Palaskas who is bringing retro back and will share how to DIY hip macramé plant hangers. Aleksandra, a floral stylist will teach kids how to create a floral crown fit for a queen and Nicole Figueroa (of The Land of Fig) will inspire many to create hand embroidered artworks and super-stylist Stefanie Ingram will inspire the green fingered to create terrariums. Other workshops will be hosted by jeweller Melinda Young, artist Michele Morcos, designer Bianca Spiegel and many more. Bike care workshops run by Grease Monkey are tipped as a hot favourite amongst locals and Reverse Garbage will also run some sessions that turn our trash into treasure.

Workshops are set to take place on most Saturdays in March and April, between 2-4pm, with some night workshops by demand and extra workshops during the Easter School Holidays. MAKE.PLAY Workshops will be ongoing events throughout Object’s calendar in 2013, peaking activity throughout Autumn & Winter.
