International Women's Day event with Justice Catherine Davani

The Hawke Centre and UN Women Australia, Adelaide chapter will host their celebration of International Women’s Day on 6 March, with a presentation from Justice Catherine Davani. Justice Davani has over 28 years of legal experience in Papua New Guinea, and was the first woman to be appointed to the PNG Supreme Court.

Justice Davani will speak on ending violence against women, as it relates to women in Papua New Guinea.

Be part of a nationwide effort to empower women and girls and end poverty on this coming 2013 International Women’s Day. This is a fundraising event, and by attending you will help UN Women to expand its critical services program for women in Papua New Guinea, where 67% of women experience violence and access to services and support remains extremely limited.

There are a variety of different ticket types available, including a networking ticket that entitles ticketholders to meet Justice Davani.

International Women’s Day is celebrated internationally on 8 March.
