$15,000 Queensland Writers Fellowships

The $15,000 Fellowships will provide time for three published Queensland writers to develop a new work. The scheme is open to writers working across diverse genres, forms, and formats. The Queensland Writers Fellowships is a new program established by Queensland Literary Awards (QLA) Inc in partnership with the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

The Fellowships are an additional developmental focus of the QLA Inc annual program ensuring support for Queensland writers and new writing.

The Fellowships will be competitive and be assessed against the following criteria.

the significance of the proposed project to Queensland culture the writer’s track record and the likelihood of completing a manuscript to high standard and achieving publication the role the fellowship will play in an applicant’s professional and career development The Fellowship program is overseen by the QLA Inc Committee.
