The Works Art & Design Festival Proudly Presents The Art of Reuse Contest Create an art piece using only those household items that appear on the City of Edmonton Reuse Centre’s list of material accepted for donation. Entries must not exceed 6’ x 3’. Applications must be dropped off at The Works Art and Design Festival Office (10635 95 St) by the extended deadline of June 20.

2010 “Smaller Than a Bread Box Exhibit” – Call to Enter

Do you like to make things out of stuff you can find around your house? If so, sign up for the first Art of Reuse Contest!!

First prize: $1400 Second Prize: $400 gift certificate from The Paint Spot.

Prizes will be awarded based on originality, design and use of materials. Winners will be announced on The Works Stage at 3:00 pm on July 1, 2012

Five Easy Steps to Participate!!

1. Create an art piece using only those household items that appear on the City of Edmonton Reuse Centre’s list of material accepted for donation (list attached). The Reuse Centre redistributes this unwanted donated material for a small user fee to residents who “reuse” and often “repurpose” the items. Entries must be handmade by the entrant.*

2. Entries must not exceed 6’ x 3’. Please be sure that all of the pieces on your artwork are firmly secured. Artwork must be able to be moved easily. All materials used in artwork must be clean and safe (For Example: no dirty containers or sharp edges).

3. Entrant is responsible for dropping off artwork at The Works office 10635-95 Street right up until submission deadline on June 20, 2012, during business hours, 2012 from 9:00 am – 6:00 PM.

4. This entry form (fully completed) must accompany all artwork.

5. All Artwork must be picked up by 8:00 PM on July 3 at Sir Winston Churchill Square in the Waste Management Tent located on the south side of the square. Artwork not picked up by artist will be recycled on July 3 after 9:00 PM
