Fuelled by an increasing urgency to act and impatient for effect, design has more aggressively begun to project an agency that sits above individual authors and works.

Impatience is hosted by the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, at UTS as part of CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade. It will bring together the exhibitors of CUSP with a group of design theorists and lateral thinkers to explore this position. Over two days the symposium will bring to life the role of design in a larger societal frame, and examine the social, political and cultural potential of designers working with impatience.

When: Thursday 15 – Friday 16 August, 2013.
Where: University of Technology, Sydney, Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, 702–730 Harris St, Ultimo, NSW.
