City Sense: Sensing Manila in the Arts (Gary Devilles)

Sociologist Georg Simmel said ‘man confronts his basic contradiction in the city.’ The lecture City Sense: Sensing Manila in the Arts is framed around this spatial contradiction as experienced by our corporal senses, such as our sense of sight, hearing, touch, taste, including our intuition, what others commonly call as the sixth sense.
