Chaplin falls in love with a blind flower girl (Virginia Cherrill), but after convincing her that he is a millionaire, is sent to prison for deception. After serving his time, they meet again, in one of the most moving scenes ever captured on screen. The screening is accompanied by the soundtrack that Chaplin himself composed and compiled for the film.
