Petrus Spronk

Inner Landscapes

Petrus takes his inspiration directly from the nocturnal landscape and the bush after fires. With their blackened surfaces each work radiates an inner stillness and quiet energy that contrasts the chaotic elements of twenty-first century life.

Petrus Spronk’s ceramic work takes us on a journey of stillness and meditation. Over the years, he has embarked upon a creative process that has since become a life occupation. The strongest aspect of his work is its connection with nature and his continuous return to the source of making. As viewers we become witness to varied creative processes that span many cultures and aesthetic dimensions.
