En Plein Air is a site-specific project made in the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne during a one-month residency. Over this time the artists have been roaming the Gardens with their makeshift portable studio, investigating the tangled colonial histories of plants and their movement across the globe to and from this site. The artists will be continuing to inhabit the space throughout the exhibition, adding to a growing archive of works on paper that combine drawing, watercolour, solar etching and fragments of historical research.
