The Counihan Gallery In Brunswick is pleased to announce a special storytelling event with Larry Walsh to be held this Saturday to celebrate NAIDOC week and in conjunction with our current exhibition Strait Protean: The Art of Brian Robinson.

Larry Walsh is an Aboriginal cultural leader and storyteller of the Taunwurrung people, who focuses on storytelling as a way of continuing and sharing the oral traditions of his ancestors.

Brian Robinson is an award-winning Torres Strait Islander artist. His intricate printmaking and sculptural practice reveals a strong cultural tradition of storytelling, drawing upon both traditional and contemporary imagery and techniques, mythology and popular culture.

This is a free event, suitable for all ages.
