Major Gifts Assistant

Reporting to the director of individual and planned giving, the major gifts assistant will be involved in a wide range of administrative activities.

The major gifts assistant serves as a first point of contact with the general public on behalf of the major gifts office and at times, the development department at large; is a liaison with other Museum departments; and has direct contact with the deputy director for development and the office of the Museum director.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing all gift processing and acknowledgment for major gifts area
Providing support for patron groups, including benefit fulfillment and preparation of billing statements, renewals and solicitations
Organizing large-scale catalogue mailings
Maintaining and reconciling the major gifts budget
Working with the major gifts team to ensure the website and intranet are up to date
Processing invoices and reimbursements
Maintaining attendance records and scheduling departmental meetings
Scheduling tours and assisting on projects as they arise
Requirements:

B.A.; 2 years administrative experience
strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Good writing skills and excellent phone manner
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Microsoft Office and Raiser’s Edge experience
