The Whitney Museum seeks upbeat individuals committed to providing a positive visitor experience for these public-facing positions within the visitor services department.
Responsibilities include:

Processing all transactions for the Museum on Ticketmaster VISTA (Point of Sales ticketing system)
Working in partnership with Membership to increase Museum revenue with membership sales and annual fund requests
Assisting with the daily preparation and maintenance of the lobby and galleries including restocking brochures, changing signage etc., as needed
Providing information to visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Distributing multimedia players
Requirements:

A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment
Good communication skills, personableness, professionalism, and excellent people skills
Strong cash handling skills
Ability to maintain composure during high volume visitation
Previous experience in a non-profit institutions, knowledge of Ticketmaster Vista Point of Sales ticket system, and background or interest in art preferred
