WOOD: art design architecture explores innovative and outstanding uses of wood in contemporary Australian art, design and architecture. It is the result of a collaboration between two iconic South Australian organisations, JamFactory and the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide.

Bringing together furniture and functional objects, sculpture, and architectural works, WOOD: art design architecture showcases innovative and outstanding uses of wood in contemporary Australian art and design – exploring our ever-evolving relationship to wood through the lenses of place and identity, sustainability and ecology, craftsmanship and technology.

WOOD: art design architecture features work by a range of contemporary Australian artists, designers and architects including Alexander Lotersztain, ARM Architecture, Billy and Lulu Cooley, Brian Hooper Architect & m3architecture, Catherine Truman, Christina Waterson, Damien Wright, Drew Heath, Duncan Meerding, Greer Honeywill, Hossein Valamanesh, John Quan, John Wardle, Jon Goulder, Khai Liew, Lionel Bawden, Mance Design, March Studio, Marcus O’Reilly, Paul Morgan, Peter Walker, Sherrie Knipe, Simon Ancher, Tom Mirams, TreeHorn Design, Nawurapu Wunungmurra, Gary Warner and Zeljko Markov.

WOOD: art design architecture will be accompanied by exhibition furniture designed by Stephen Goddard in conjunction with JamFactory’s Furniture Design Studio. A significant 250-page catalogue featuring commissioned essays will also accompany the exhibition.
