In 2015 artist Christina Mackie (b 1956) will unveil a new installation inspired by her interest in pigments and the use of colour. Mackie presents complex installations in which natural elements and manufactured objects have been composed to form a sense of compositional and physical balance.

Recent exhibitions of her work include: The Renaissance Society, Chicago 2014, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, 2013, Kunsthal Charlottenborg and Chisenhale Gallery, London 2012, and Art Now Sculpture Court, Tate Britain 2007. Mackie won the Becks Futures Art Prize in 2005, Arts Council England Oxford/Melbourne Fellowship 2010, and Contemporary Art Society’s Annual Award, 2012.
