Winterlights illuminates questions of what light means within contemporary society – design meeting art? Or is ‘Light’ simply an upper middle class domestic expression of social position? How far have artists working with light come since the 60s? How far have design, art and every day domestic needs merged in light? Are artists, architects or designers the true light technicians leading the way in light as a medium??
