These two crowns, that respect the existing stables and 1880s workers’ cottage, form individual dwellings that slope down to rest in a common outdoor courtyard that fronts the adjacent native parklands. It creates a shared space for the townhouse dwellers while being a neighbourly gesture – to maintain the aspect from the row of terraces up the hill.
