BYOB Feed

BYOB Feed was a part of BYOB Melbourne, one installment in a series of one-night-exhibitions hosting artists and their projectors. While BYOB generally features artists sourcing and borrowing imagery from digital culture, SIBLING decided to borrow directly from the artists on the night, creating a live-stream of the exhibition.

Art Exhibition previously on at SIBLING in Victoria, Australia.
From Thursday 01 December 2011 to Saturday 31 December 2011

The feed (via smart phone to a free-to-air streaming host) captured other artist’s work and displayed the live stream on the gallery wall.

SIBLING presents a hyper reality of an environment of reproduced imagery; space constructed of simulacrum. A digitized, dirty reproduced video of reality is shown on the wall, glitches and delays interrupt the stream; picture quality drops in and out, revealing how we construct our image of reality through processing online information.
