The internationally recognised artists; Sydney’s Beastman and Adelaide’s Vans the Omega, will spend a week in Port Hedland in the lead up to the exhibition installign their works at the gallery and creating a lasting public mural in the town.

Converge features works that are inspired by the Pilbara’s unique landscapes, and the main event on the PUBLIC: Art in the Pilbara program. In April, PUBLIC will bring a number of international street artists to the Pilbara and Port Hedland to take to some of the town’s public spaces with brushes and spray cans.

Hanging alongside Converge will be A Dot on the Run, showcasing original drawings on paper from emerging, mid-career, and established artists from across Western Australia.

The event will also kick off the first West End Markets of the year which will be held on Saturday March 15, featuring the best locally handmade products, delicious international cuisine and family friendly activities.

Beastman and Van’s the Omega’s visit to Port Hedland, their first, will be documented by a photographer and a catalogue will be released about their Pilbara trip later in April.

The exhibitions will run from March 13 until May.
