“I love working with the face and figure, drawing and painting the body in all shapes and sizes. Still life and landscape studies give balance, as they offer me an opportunity to work quickly with an ever-changing subject, in the case of landscape, and the chance to spend time work on a static subject under a controlled situation, in the case of still life.”
Nolan’s extensive artistic career includes eighteen years working as an illustrator and designer for News Limited and teaching portrait workshops at the Light Factory Gallery in Eltham. She has exhibited widely across Melbourne in both solo and group shows.
