The photographs in ‘Eastern Interiors: explorations from Bathurst to Albury’ trace the early pathways between Welch’s home in Bathurst and Albury, drawing on written records to reflect the embedded cultural histories of the regions.

The suite will follow a similar path beginning at Brenda May Gallery and travelling to Murray Art Museum Albury for an exhibition from 12 November to 13 December 2015 and then to Bathurst for a final showing at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, 1 July to 14 August 2016.

A limited selection of Welch’s photographs will be exhibited at Sydney Contemporary at Carriageworks, booth A20 from 10 – 13 September.
