Filmed in one continuous shot, Russian Ark is a historical drama film directed by Alexander Sokurov which takes you inside the Hermitage and traverses three centuries of Russian history. An anonymous narrator moves through the museum and in each room encounters both real and fictional people from Russian history.

Praised for its ambition and technique in shooting all 87 minutes in one continuous shot, Russian Ark captivates viewers in a dream like journey through the history of the Hermitage Museum.
