Australian Print Workshop’s (APW) annual program represents the very best in contemporary printmaking in Australia, fostering the development of printmaking as a vibrant and progressive art form.
Generously assisted by the Collie Print Trust, APW administers a number of scholarships and awards. APW’s scholarship program is unique in Australia and over the years has directly supported more than 80 artists. This ambitious program has generated many significant new works in the print medium that have been exhibited and acquired for important collections throughout Australia.
The prestigious APW Collie Print Trust Printmaking Fellowship, awarded annually to a leading Australian artist, has become one of the most significant printmaking awards nationally.
It facilitates an extraordinary opportunity for the recipient to work in collaboration with APW’s highly skilled printers to develop a major body of work in the print medium.
As the 5th recipient of this award, APW Collie Print Trust Printmaking Fellow Emily Floyd collaborated with APW printers Martin King and Simon White to produce a suite of nine limited edition prints that employ intaglio, relief and lithographic print techniques.
