The pieces are connected through the unifying themes of sacred geometry, numerology & our relationship to the universe . However, as this is an organic project, the concepts developed with the works as the months passed by. Although they are part of an overall project, each one stands on its own.

The works in this project are conceptual. Numerous materials have been used, from oil paintings to resin sculptures, outdoor installations to light structures, wood work to steel and plaster fabrications…….. The thread that sews the pieces together is the “Monad” Concept – the universal and indivisible one-ness.

This has been a great journey for the artist, Jason Lu, one of his personal growth on every level but, above all, its been great fun. His Chinese heritage gave him a preoccupation with numbers, the various cultures he inhabit gave him his inspiration and as the numbers and the months rolled on his work gives us this exhibition – and all with a life of its own!
