MONO 20: Gudrun Gut

German Gudrun Gut is Berlin music royalty. She has been at the heart of so many movements and influential projects it’s difficult to summarise her now three decade career. A founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten, Gut went on to form the now legendary Mania D and Malaria! outfits, whose work has resonated widely, influencing future generations of powerful feminist post-punk.

As the head of Monika Enterprises, Gut has been responsible for releasing a wave of exploratory artists working at the nexus of song and experimentation.

For her performance with Andrew Tuttle at MONO, she layers audio and visual materials to create a throbbing mixed media experience.
