Featuring Daniel Shea, Whitten Sabattini, Lindsay D’Addato, Eva O’Leary, Yeon J Yue, Timothy Briner, Mo Costello, Suzanna Zak and Juan Madrid. In the spirit of iconic photographers who came to define America’s past through their work, such as Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange and Stephen Shore, each of the contemporary artists involved have made a significant mark on the social landscape during the past decade.

Mossless was founded in 2009 by Romke Hoogwaerts. Initially a blog profiling emerging photographers, in 2012, Mossless came offline with the release of Issue 1, a photo book that brought its presence into stores and galleries around the world. The release of Mossless Issue 3 in 2014 was a true milesotone for the publication —Time magazine listing it as a top photo book of the year. For Issue 3 Romke and his partner Grace Leigh featured work by more than 100 artists on the theme of America.

The first installment of Mossless: The United States (2005-2015), took place in New York City at Ludlow Studios. Following IPF Melbourne, the show will then travel for a third and final installment in Sydney at China Heights.
