Widely known for his work which explores the space between public and private, design and art, Chaimowicz’s practice encompasses painting, film, photography and prototypes for everyday objects, furnishings and wallpapers. For Chaimowicz, domestic interiors are environments heavily invested with cultural, literary and biographical references. This exhibition will span his career and draw upon ideas of memory and place in a newly conceived installation which will include a re-staging of the immersive and pioneering work Enough Tiranny, first presented at the Serpentine in 1972.
