Make 2016 an astronomical year with a short course held at Sydney Observatory. These courses are suitable for adults and senior students (years 11 and 12).

Popular astronomy educator Dr Paul Payne uses 3-D virtual reality media to provide a history of astronomy and an exploration of different types of telescopes – some of which you’ll use to explore the night sky (weather permitting). Paul brings astronomy alive and contextualises the cosmos in a way that isn’t possible with a textbook or Powerpoint presentation.

The 5-week course takes place from 6–8.30pm weekly and the following 5-week slots are available:

Tuesdays 19 July – 16 August 2016
Thursdays 21 July – 18 August 2016
Tuesdays 23 August – 20 September 2016

Pre-payment is required to secure your booking.
