The Philippines is home to a rich and diverse art history with links to the arts of India and China, modern ties to Spain and Mexico, and the first art school in Southeast Asia, but its art is little known in Australia.

This exhibition is part of the Bayanihan Philippines Art Project, a collaboration between the Art Gallery of NSW, Mosman Art Gallery, Blacktown Arts Centre, Peacock Gallery (Auburn), Campbelltown Arts Centre and Museums and Galleries, aimed at promoting the art and culture of the Philippines through a series of exhibitions, performances, creative writing and community programs across multiple venues.
