Lino printing is one of the most fun, basic printing methods there is. This course will provide an introduction to linoprinting with an emphasis on printing at home so you can take what you learn and create prints by yourself later.
You don’t need to be an artist to be a linoprinter – printing is a technical skill and one that is easily learnt. This course will cover a history of printmaking, printmaking safety, using your own or provided images to make a linoprint, printing to surfaces such as gift cards for you to take home, and also cover general linoprinting information such as where to obtain printing resources, editioning, and other applications for your prints once they are finished etc.
This class will prepare you to use the access studio at QG&W should you require.
Once you have registered you will be provided with more information about images to bring along for use if you wish to use your own rather than one provided.
