So you think things are bad…. costs twice as much to fill the car… the price of food keeps going up….young people drink and run the streets…the city is a danger zone…. We’re all getting too fat. Our friends are getting cancer. Kids keep drawing on the walls. The world is going crazy. I don’t understand art anymore. My kids won’t talk to me. The rivers are dying. It won’t rain.. or rains too much. I think the poles are melting, we could drown. The military keeps fighting wars, I don’t know why. Religious leaders incite to kill. People explode. The new churches frighten me. The times are out of joint. Just leave me alone. I can’t take any more. Let me stay inside. Let me watch a late-night show. Let me listen to my Walkman. Just let me chill out in my spa. I just want to watch the game. I can’t help the hungry people. God, help us. Protect us. Please God.
