Mona Foma

The Museum of Old and New Art's summer festival is hitting both Hobart and Launceston in 2018, with an unprecedented 11 days of cacophonic music and unexpected art installations, with a Mini Mofo weekend in the state's northern city, as well as the last three-day Mofo at Mona for some time.

Lineup highlights include Gotye presenting a tribute to the late, great Jean-Jacques Perrey, avant-garde darling Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Chicago based-soul singer Jamila Woods, jazz master Brian Jackson performing with the Southern Gospel Choir, Norwegian metal gods Mayhem, and Canadian art-rock legends Godspeed You! Black Emperor who will perform a headline set at Mona, as well as a live score to The Holy Body Tattoo’s dance performance, Monumental. Mofo 2018 is also hosting artists from as far afield as Tunisia, USA, Iraq, Argentina, United Kingdom, Spain, and Iran.
Mofo takes place from 12 – 14 January in Launceston, and 15 – 22 January in Hobart.
