Art Funds outperform stocks and bonds
Art Market Monitor has recently been focussed on the performance of art market funds compared to other investments during the GFC.
Apparently a report by Credit Suisse entitled “Investment Ideas: Art Market Back on Growth Path” reveals that over the past decade art funds have outperforming stocks and bonds.
And incase you’re wondering how big the art fund market is, Heidi Moore used her New York Times Dealbook column to cover the waterfront on art funds. She says there’s about $300 million invested in art funds, about as much as disappeared after the financial crisis when the vast majority of 40 funds evaporated.
